We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our growing team. In this role, you will manage supplier selection, lead tenders, negotiate agreements, and support key procurement activities that contribute directly to operational efficiency and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage supplier selection processes and competitive tenders for the company (materials, services, and CAPEX/OPEX investments)
- Handle purchase requests in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring required deliveries are secured at optimized total costs through effectively negotiated prices and conditions.
- Conduct active negotiations of commercial, technical, and contractual terms with both new and existing suppliers, arranging the preparation of PO/contracts.
- Ensure complete ownership of the procurement lifecycle—from demand clarification to contract award and supplier performance evaluation.
- Demonstrate openness to shaping and adopting procurement policies, standards, and best practices in a rapidly evolving and fast-growing company environment.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, supplier consolidation, process improvement.
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships with engineering, operations, production, finance, legal, quality, and project management teams, as well as sister companies in the Group
- Provide regular reporting on tender progress, procurement performance, and achieved results.
Requirements
- University or secondary education in technical fields (e.g. Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field) .
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement—ideally in materials, services, investment projects, or project-based purchasing.
- Proven experience with purchasing cycle, tender management and negotiations
- Analytical skills, a practical knowledge of ERP systems, MS tools and modern procurement tools is an advantage
- Strong communication skills in Greek and English language
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, project-driven environment.
